WE BELIEVE BY SUMMARIZING WHAT CRUCIAL POINTS IN BUILDING DESA BERSINAR WITH A STORYLINE AND SIMPLE ILLUSTRATIONS CAN EXTEND PEOPLE’S SPAN TO PAY ATTENTION AND GET EDUCATED FROM THE CAMPAIGN OUTPUT.

OBJECTIVE

Giving the awareness of BNN’s recent project for Indonesia’s villages: Desa Bersinar (Desa Bersih Narkoba). BNN wants to provide a quick and fun way to explain one-book material about Desa Bersinar and how it works to village’s headmen and mayors in Indonesia.

PROBLEM

There is no efficient product that delivers the explanation of Desa Bersinar. BNN has a thick book about Desa Bersinar and most people involved can be very lazy to read in order to know how Desa Bersinar works and its impact on society. The book is more like a report book, so it uses formal language and is quite challenging for people to understand.

SOLUTION

Looking at the pattern of today’s people that have short attention spans, we want to deliver the significant points of Desa Bersinar through an efficient product, which is a video. By summarizing the book and creating a 8-minute video with simple motion graphics, we want to give sharp points in an entertaining way, so that the target audience can still understand the purpose of the video without getting bored.

The process was challenging, specifically in summarizing the book–as it was our first time creating a graphic communication video from a government’s report book. Be that as it may, we found some inspiring insights that can be brought to our next projects.
